On the second day of the event, Iran’s team showcased exceptional performances, with Kamran Ghasempour and Amirhossein Zare each winning a gold medal. Additionally, Erfan Alizadeh earned a silver medal, further contributing to Iran’s overall success.
During the first day, Iran’s Rahman AmouzadAli (65kg) and Ali Momeni (57kg) also achieved gold medals, while Younes Emami added a bronze medal in the 74kg category. Notably, Ghasempour dominated his 92kg match, defeating Alan Bagaev (UWW) with an 11-0 score, and Zare triumphed over Zelimkhan Khizriev (UWW) in the 125kg with a 10-0 victory.
However, Erfan Alizadeh faced a tough match in the 97kg weight class, losing narrowly to Japanese-Iranian wrestler Arash Yoshida with a score of 3-2.
