Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Evgeny Terekhin, has underscored the significant outcomes from the recent visit of a high-level Russian delegation, led by Valentina Matvienko, the Speaker of the Federation Council. The three-day visit aimed to strengthen cooperation in health, education, and investment, marking a pivotal move towards enhancing bilateral relations between Russia and Ethiopia.
The delegation included senior officials such as the Minister of Economic Development, the Minister of Health, and various representatives from key ministries and institutions. In education, collaborative initiatives were also highlighted, such as the establishment of a Consortium for the “Russian-African Network University.” This includes the Russian Language Center and an “Engineering Class,” promoting educational exchange and training opportunities for Ethiopian students.
