Four official decrees and two ministerial decisions have led to the loss of nationality for 9,464 individuals, including both genders. Affected parties include those convicted of national security violations and affiliations with terrorist groups, particularly related to the Hezbollah financing investigations, “Lions of the Peninsula” case, and “Abdali Cell” case.
Decree No. 24 resulted in citizenship withdrawal for 5,694 women, including dependents. Decree No. 28 saw an additional 3,724 women and dependents affected. Also, Decree No. 28 revoked citizenship from 38 persons, while Decree No. 27 impacted three individuals, along with their dependents. Two ministerial decisions further revoked citizenship for four more individuals and a woman involved in a forgery case.
