He received ‘The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (Civil Division)’, as stated by the British Government. Chandrasekaran expressed gratitude for this recognition and highlighted the Tata Group’s commitment to maintaining a strategic relationship with the UK across various industries.
In his statement, Chandrasekaran noted the pride the Tata Group feels in collaborating with iconic British brands such as Jaguar Land Rover and Tetley. Chandrasekaran joined Tata Sons’ Board in October 2016 and was appointed Chairman in January 2017. He has a rich history within Tata Consulting Services (TCS), having started there right after university and reached the position of CEO by 2009.
