The Ministry of Transport has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Messrs. MPH Rail Growth Restricted, a United Kingdom firm, for the implementation of the Port Harcourt-Enugu-Calabar-Abuja Commonplace Gauge Line Venture below a Public-Non-public Partnership.

Below the MoU, the British firm will handle the design, development, commissioning, operation and eventual handover of the Port Harcourt-Enugu-Calabar-Abuja commonplace gauge line.
