The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed that 9 individuals had been injured in a fuel explosion at a metal firm in Ogijo, Sagamu Native Authorities Space of Ogun State on Saturday.
The explosion is alleged to have occurred at Phoenix Metal Mills in Ogijo.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident in a press release on Sunday, including that the victims of the blast had been manufacturing facility staff.
Odutola added that the victims had been taken to Rolayo Personal Hospital, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The assertion learn: “There was a case of business accident that occurred at Phoenix Metallic Firm in Ogijo on March 9 at 9:38pm.
“In response to eyewitness accounts, the explosion was attributed to a cylinder explosion that occurred within the melting level space, affecting employees members who sustained accidents.
“The explosion affected homes within the space as window frames reportedly burst because of the vibrations from the blast.
“Youths from the group tried to assault the enterprise however policemen and a military detachment of 174 battalions in Odogunyan Ikorodu had been seen on the bottom to intervene.
