Islamiyat Oyefusi, the Labor Get together's deputy governorship candidate in Lagos State, on Wednesday resigned from the social gathering.
Oyefusi, together with Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, contested the 2023 gubernatorial election received by the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Oyefusi introduced her resignation in a letter dated February 22, 2024, addressed to the chairman of the social gathering in Isele 1 space of Ikorodu space of the state.
Within the letter, a replica of which was obtained by our correspondent, Oyefusi mentioned it was time for her to behave because the social gathering's values are now not in step with hers.
The letter mentioned: “I now not see myself aligning with the present values of the Labor Get together or as a member of the Labor Get together, and the time has come for me to maneuver on. With this letter we wish to formally inform you of my resignation from the Labor Get together.
