The Ondo State Authorities has declared Thursday, February 22 and Friday, February 23, 2024 as public holidays.
Governor Fortunate Ayedatiwa introduced the vacations in an announcement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan.
The assertion revealed that the vacation was declared in honor of the late former Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who handed away in December 2023.
It famous that the 2 work-free days will allow residents of the state to take part within the ongoing funeral actions for the late governor, which started final Thursday.
Ajabue (conventional rituals) can be held in Owo from 9am to 4pm on Wednesday, February 21.
A particular sitting can be held at 10am at Court docket 1, Ondo State Excessive Court docket Headquarters, Hospital Highway, Akure.
The State Service and Honors Service can be held on the Akure Township Stadium at 1pm, adopted by a night of tribute at St Andrews Church, Imola Avenue, Owo, from 4pm to 7pm.
On Thursday, February 22, a public vacation, there can be a track service at St Andrews Cathedral on Imola Avenue in Owo at 4pm.
There’ll then be a Wake-Maintain at Maranatha Villa in Owo at 8pm.
Later within the night, from 8pm till dawn, there can be a candlelight procession and World Gyration organized by the Kegites Membership.
