The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a seven-member gang suspected of specializing in human elements trafficking and cash rituals.
The Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, revealed {that a} human coronary heart and two barrels crammed with human physique elements had been amongst items of proof recovered from the suspects.
The boys arrested on Thursday had been recognized by the police as Moses Abidemi, Oluwo Monday, Prophet Peter Akiwunmi Ifatosin, Jamiu Yusuf, Sheriff Agbai and Osojieahen Alioneitoura.
Alamutu defined that on January 9, the Divisional Police Station in Onipanu obtained a report of a lacking woman, Mrs. Sulaiimon Adijat, who was invited for a date by one Adebayo Azeez.
“Regardless of efforts to hint her whereabouts, the cell phone has been switched off for the reason that day she was reported lacking. Because of this, the command's anti-kidnapping unit was known as in to unravel the thriller behind her disappearance, and a technical investigation was launched,” the CP mentioned.
In keeping with him, the investigation revealed that the suspects had been concerned in a cash ritual often called “Oshole” to supply N200m inside seven days.
“Oluwo on Monday charged the duo of Agbai and Alioneitouria N800,000 to organize the supplies for the ritual cash. Oluwo, in furtherance of his legal intentions, on Monday, later contacted one Peter, who was not new to the human elements commerce, to search for a girl between the ages of 18 and 20.
The CP mentioned Peter was to ship the woman's mutilated physique elements, particularly the pinnacle, two breasts, vagina and two wrists for use for the alleged ritual.
“Nonetheless, on January 10, Sheriff and Osojieahen collected the ritual cash from Oluwo and traveled again to their location in Edo State.
