The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a suspected kidnapper, Christopher Yaro, who allegedly participated within the kidnapping of two Rev Fathers for ransom in Pankshin, Plateau State, on February 1, 2024.
The spokesperson of the command, Omolola Odutola, who disclosed this to PUNCH On-line on Tuesday, mentioned the suspect was captured by cops in In the past-Iwoye space of the state on Monday.
Two Catholic monks, Father Kenneth Kanwa and Father Jude Nwachukwu, had been reportedly kidnapped from St. Vincent de Paul Fier Parish in Pankshin Diocese of Plateau State.
The alleged kidnappers, who had been later found to be members of the identical parish, reportedly demanded N25m ransom from household and different church members to safe the liberty of the monks.
