Businessman Femi Otedola has revealed how the Group Chief Government Officer of Entry Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, hosted him and fellow businessman Aliko Dangote at his new residence two weeks earlier than his demise.
Wigwe, alongside along with his spouse and son, had been on board an ill-fated helicopter that crashed close to the Nevada border in California, United States on Friday.
Additionally on board the helicopter had been the previous Chairman of the Nigeria Alternate Group, Abimbola Ogunbajo, and two others.

Minutes after the official affirmation of Wigwe's demise, Otedola, in a brief message posted on X on Sunday, described the demise as a lack of “a banking genius”.

“Precisely two weeks in the past, Herbie and his spouse hosted myself and Aliko for dinner at his newly constructed residence in Lagos. I’ll cherish my reminiscences and fondly bear in mind the instances I spent with him over time.
“Herbie, we’ll all miss you.
“Your legacy will reside on endlessly.
“My honest condolences exit to his youngsters Tochi, Hannah and David. I pray that God comforts them on this tragic time,” Otedola wrote on X.
In the meantime, President Bola Tinubu has described Wigwe's demise as “an awesome tragedy that’s surprising past phrases.”
