The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has honored 25 eminent church leaders to commemorate the forty fifth anniversary of the delivery of the church. The winners had been honored for his or her excellent loyalty within the service of the dominion.
The award occurred throughout the biennial standing committee assembly of the Anglican Communion of the Church of Nigeria, which held on the Anglican Cathedral Church of Ascension, Boji-Boji Owa, Diocese of Ika, Delta State.
They embody “The Most Revered Dr. Peter Jasper Akinola; Most Rev. Dr. Nicholas Okoh; the late Most Revd Timothy Olufosoye; the late Most Rev. Joseph Abiodun Adetiloye; the late Bishop Ajayi Crowther; Most Rev. Dr. Ephraim Adebola Ademowo; the Proper Rev. Emmanuel Gbonigi; Proper Revd Gideon Olaji; late Henry Johnson Diocese of Lagos; the late Proper Revd (Lieutenant Colonel) Titus E. Ogbonyomi; the late Most Rev. Jonathan Onyemelukwe; Justice Opeoluwa Ogunade; Dr. Abraham Isa; Deaconess Susan Esan; Evangelist Maria Maidoki; Chief Folu Olamiti – Diocese of Abuja; Very Reverend Dr. Ifechukwu Ibeme; Mr Bode Adediji; Chief Timothy knowsAdesoye; Evang Mrs. HE Educated; Dame Ndidi Anuchi; Otunba (Dr.) Matthew Oyin; Professor Olugbemiro Jegede Diocese of Ogorimagogo; Ven. In his opening deal with, the Archbishop and Primate of All Nigeria, Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, mentioned the Church of Nigeria Awards Committee had fastidiously chosen the eminent Church leaders for the Award of Excellence in Constancy in Service to the Kingdom.
The Primate acknowledged: “We recognize their zeal of their decisions and much more we thank God for the lasting legacy left by these servants of God within the service of God and humanity.
“We stay grateful to Almighty God for the sacrifice of those nice fathers of the religion for the Church. Some awards are posthumous; the reminiscence of the righteous shall be blessed.
