Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday introduced that the state can pay out N3.1 billion to about 1,000 pensioners who’ve tirelessly served the state underneath the Contributory Pension Scheme.
The governor made this recognized via his X-handle, including that the retirees' sacrifices “haven’t gone unnoticed.”
He wrote: 'I'm pleased to share some information with you that I hope will put a smile on households' faces.
“Subsequent week, we are going to disburse N3.1 billion underneath the Contributory Pension Scheme to over 1,000 pensioners who’ve tirelessly served our state.
“It’s pertinent to be aware of the truth that in the course of the lifetime of our authorities, we now have paid out over N60 billion as pension to over 17,000 pensioners. This achievement fills us with satisfaction.”
Whereas thanking the retirees for his or her unwavering dedication, Sanwo-olu famous that their contributions are the inspiration of the colourful state.
