British-Nigerian media persona Adesope Olajide, also called Shopsydoo, has closely criticized Grammy organizers.
That is as he alleged that the organizers have been utilizing Nigerian artistes for promotion.

Recall that the Nigerian quintet of Burna Boy, Davido, Ayra Starr, Asake and Olamide misplaced in all of the classes they have been nominated in on the 66th Grammys on Sunday night time.
Shopsydoo responded through an Instagram dwell session, claiming that the Recording Academy doesn't care about African music, highlighting that the Grammy band that performed Fela Anikulapo-Kuti's 'Water' after South African singer Tyla's 'Water' was introduced because the winner of the inaugural Finest African Music Efficiency class, was purpose sufficient that the Grammy is clueless about African music.

He urged African musicians, particularly Nigerian artists, to boycott the Grammys.
He stated, “Tyla's 'Water' [was announced as winner], the band performs Fela Anikulapo-Kuti's 'Water' whereas somebody was engaged on one other 'Water' on stage. If you wish to find out about a corporation that has no thought, the Grammy has no thought.
“They do not know, they know nothing about our tradition. And we shouldn't waste our power on that. They don't care about us, man.
“They solely need to use us for promotion. One billion individuals in Africa need us to maintain promoting the Grammy. We aren’t involved with that. For me, I don't need anybody to come back inform me about no Grammy, mehn.
“I'll let you know actually: they used Davido extensively to advertise their platform. They rely closely on the unimaginable numbers and eyes that Nigeria and Africa deliver they usually used our artists.
