The presidency stated on Wednesday that the Bola Tinubu administration had no intention of transferring Nigeria's federal capital again to Lagos, its earlier location.
It described such insinuations because the creation of these it known as “mischief makers” bent on “needlessly fomenting ethnic mistrust.”
This adopted the current determination of the Federal Authorities to relocate the Ministry of Banking Supervision from the Central Financial institution of Nigeria to Lagos and the directive of the Ministry of Aviation and House Improvement to relocate the headquarters of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria again to Lagos transfer.
However in an announcement signed by the Particular Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the presidency refuted the narrative that these strikes are a part of plans to relocate the FCT to Lagos.
Ngelale acknowledged: “We deem it vital to tell Nigerians that there’s not an iota of fact within the interpretations given to the rules in some quarters and the baseless claims and rumors that President Bola Tinubu is planning to return the Federal Capital to Lagos to be moved.”
