The Federation Account Allocation Committee says it has shared a complete of N1.13 trillion in income with the Federal Authorities, States and Native Authorities Councils as of December 2023.
That is N500 billion greater than the N1.08 trillion shared to every state in November.
The FAAC stated in a communiqué after the January 2024 assembly chaired by the Accountant Common of the Federation, Dr. Oluwatoyin Madein, that the overall distributable revenue of N1.13 trillion consisted of distributable statutory revenue of N363.188 billion, distributable worth added tax of N458. 0.622 billion, digital fund switch levy income of N17.855 billion and alternate price distinction income of N287.743 billion.

“The Federal Authorities obtained N68.793 billion, State Governments obtained N229.311 billion and Native Authorities Councils obtained N160.518 billion from the distributable Worth Added Tax of N458.622 billion.
“The digital fund switch levy of N17.855 billion was distributed as follows: the Federal Authorities obtained N2.678 billion, State Governments obtained N8.928 billion and Native Authorities Councils obtained N6.249 billion.
“The Federal Authorities obtained N138.672 billion out of the N287.743 billion alternate price income. The state governments obtained N70.336 billion, and the native authorities councils obtained N54.226 billion. The sum of N24.509 billion (13% of mineral income) was distributed to the beneficiary states as diversion income.
Nonetheless, FAAC acknowledged: “Within the month of December 2023, company tax, excise tax, petroleum revenue tax, worth added tax and digital fund switch levy have elevated considerably, whereas oil and gasoline royalties have decreased considerably.
