The Lagos State Home and Sexual Violence Company (DSVA) mentioned it has rescued a pregnant girl who was attacked by her husband in Mushin space of the state.
The Government Secretary of DSVA, Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, disclosed this in an announcement in Lagos.
She mentioned the division acquired a 911 name from a reporter on Wednesday about an alleged case of home violence.
“Within the wake of the latest report of a seven-month pregnant girl dropping her life resulting from home violence, the company has acquired one other emergency name from a mandated reporter of an alleged case of home violence involving one other pregnant girl and her husband.
“It was alleged that an expectant mom was bodily assaulted by her companion who then locked her of their residence within the Mushin space of the state.
“It was reported that the alleged bodily assault ultimately led to the pregnant girl dropping consciousness, and it required well timed intervention from the neighbors who rescued her and rushed her to the final hospital for medical consideration,” she mentioned.
Vivour-Adeniyi mentioned the company reported the matter to the police and the alleged perpetrator was arrested.
“DSVA instantly contacted the Fast Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command, and law enforcement officials from Mushin Police Station have been instantly dispatched to the scene of the incident.
