The Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee has printed the ultimate checklist and private particulars of candidates for by-elections.
This was contained in an announcement signed on Wednesday by the Nationwide Commissioner and Chairman of the Info and Voter Schooling Fee, Sam Olumekun.
The by-elections will maintain on February 3, 2024 in 9 states of the federation, masking two senatorial districts (Ebonyi South and Yobe East); 4 federal constituencies (Shanga/Ngaski/Yauri Federal Constituency of Kebbi State, Surulere I Federal Constituency of Lagos State, Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency of Ondo State and Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency of Taraba State); and three state constituencies (Guma I constituency of Benue State, Chibok constituency of Borno State and Chikun constituency of Kaduna State).
In response to Olumekun, the information and ultimate checklist of candidates have been launched on Wednesday on the state places of work of the fee.
“As per the timetable and program of actions, the private particulars and ultimate checklist of candidates have been printed right now in our state places of work and anxious constituencies in accordance with the availability of Article 29(3) of the Electoral Act 2022.
“The checklist of candidates may also be printed on our web site and social media platforms,” he stated.
The committee appealed to Nigerians to scrutinize the private particulars of the candidates.
