The Lagos State Authorities has mentioned the Third Mainland Bridge might be closed on Tuesday, January 9 for repairs.
The PONS reported that the bridge, which was closed to visitors in November 2023, was reopened on December 21 to ease visitors over the Christmas interval.
The state Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, in a press release, mentioned the closure was to permit for the restore work of the Federal Ministry of Works on some elements of the bridge.
He mentioned the Iyana Oworonshoki-Adeniji Adele part could be closed as a consequence of efficient repairs of all the part of the bridge.
“The closure is a part of the continuing works that began in November 2023, specializing in repairing the ramps, and now the remaining elements of the bridge may even be repaired,” he said.
